In the Moment

Today a friend of mine on twitter posted a great Bible verse (Proverbs 3:5-6)...one of my favorite of all time, this verse is so empowering and truly captures the essense of being a follower of Christ and walking with God...then he reminded me to enjoy every minute with my little one and "not miss or overlook a moment together"....and I thought wow, I really need to truly "take in" all the moments I have with Caylan....enjoy all of her smiles, squeals, her babbling conversations with me (and me letting her know I completely understand the babbles), the diaper changes (the easy ones and the ones where I wonder how does all of this come out of your little body!!)...just EVERYTHING!!! No matter how tired I am...just enjoy all of these moments with her, because one day I will look up and she will be in school, then going to Prom, then off to college....and I will tell other moms what I was told today "enjoy every minute it will be gone before you know it." On that note let me finish this blog so I can enjoy those moments.... :)

Yes! Enjoy every moment they are so special. I have two boys 5 and 9 and I can't tell you how fast it goes. I know everyone says it but when I look back at pictures of them when they were little I just can't even imagine them being that little once upon a time. Have fun! I just followed your blog.

Ms Shana, I am sooooooo happy that you have started this blog and have already blessed me with your postings! Prov 3:5-6 is a great foundational scripture. And do enjoy your time with Caylan...Ryan came by to visit today and we talked about 'adult things' like bills, budgeting and room mates. Then he asked something about why we chose brick versus stucco and then why did we choose this house. It took me back to when we moved in. He was two years old and it still doesn't seem so long ago, but it is!! Love Caylan thoughout all of her years with you...yours in Christ.
